SUMMER 2014: The Lions go to scandinavia!

Welcome to our updated Lions website, where you will find all pertinent tournament info, including schedules and relevant trip information. In this site, we will also keep a daily blog from Scandinavia.
          I want to extend an immense thanks to Betsy, who has been coordinating all the pre-tournament logistics, and to Maria, who has helped me with all pre-tournament training logistics. And thanks to all our families and players who have contributed in innumerable ways to make this trip possible for the team.
          We are just 7 days away from our trip, and soccer is all around us, with an exciting World Cup in Brazil in its quarterfinals week and the team heading into our final week of pre-tournament training.
          For our Lions Girls, we will have 18 players participating--13 at Dana and 18 at Gothia. In addition, we will have two Lions Boys participating with the Marin FC U14 team (Lars and Marco). 
          At Dana, we will have the option of having guest players from the Seals' team, as we did in the fall season, to complement our roster. 
          Michelle Spinner will be assisting me at the tournament and, along with Betsy and Teeka (my wife), will be chaperoning the girls. Michelle will be staying with the girls in their dormitories. She played at Gothia when she was our girls' age, so she is quite familiar with the ins and out of the trip.
          We are very much looking to the trip!
