At SAN FRANCISCO FC LIONS, we focus on the development of the whole student athlete in a family-supportive environment.
We are small by design: our size allows us to focus on the healthy development of each one of our players. We have been a small, independent club for over twelve years and give our players and families the benefits of a small-club player-focused skills development program. We develop, skilled, confident, and versatile athletes : we are known for the care we take in developing our players to be exemplary individuals and athletes. As we help players develop their individual and team soccer skills, we focus on developing their confidence, self-reliance, resiliency, and grit that will help them thrive inside and outside of the soccer pitch. We challenge and develop players at a healthy pace: proper development takes time, and rushing kids is not what is best for them. For each team, we create the positive and challenging team environment that allows each individual and the team to thrive, by setting age-appropriate individual and team improvement goals for players and teams to meet season after season. |

SPAIN AND ITALY TOUR

SOUTH AMERICA SOCCER TRAINING AND SERVICE LEARNING
We took our U16 Girls team to an amazing 20-day trip to Chile and Colombia, where we trained with professional and semi-pro club and national team players, and worked with non-profit organizations as part of a srcice and cultural exchange.
SCANDINAVIA TOUR: DANA AND GOTHIA CUPS
We took our U15 girls and our U15 boys teams for an ungorgettable trip to Scandianvia,where both teams played the Dana Cup No1 in Denmark and the Gothia Cup in Sweden.
SPRING AND SUMMER 2016
SWEDISH TEAM VISIT
We had a great visit from our Swedish friends, Fristad Goif, this Spring. They trained daily with the Lions and got to scrimmage a variety of other San Francisco club and high school teams. They managed to fit in a lot of sightseeing fun, as well. We look forward to meeting again!
IBERIA SUMMER TOUR
We took our U15 girls team to the IberCup tournament in Portugal and Donosti Cup in Spain. It was an awesome experience for our players.
